cimarron golf resortSince the Cimarron Golf Resort opened in 2000, one honor after another has come our way. We’ve been picked as one of Golf Digest’s Best Places to Play and we’ve won acclaim in the ESPN Zagat Survey and Palm Springs Life. And we were also chosen as one of the Top 100 Women-Friendly Places to Play by Golf for Women magazine.

That’s because Cimarron is everyone’s favorite club, not just because of its golf but also because of its rugged San Jacinto Mountain backdrop. Our championship layout has more of a wild desert look than many of the all green-grass layouts in the Palm Springs area. It also has something of a links style of play and lots of British Isles-style sodwall bunkers filled with crushed white marble sand. As one of the best public golf facilities in the Palm Springs area, Cimarron Golf Resort is proud to offer you the choice of two sensational courses, both designed by renowned Scottsdale architect John Fought who shaped and contoured them to fit this magnificent desert site. The par-71 Boulder, previously called the Long Course, is our 18-hole championship length course and the par-56 Pebble, previously known as the Short Course, is our equally stunning 18-hole executive course. After your round of incredible golf, you will want to relax and enjoy a meal and refreshments in our beautiful full-service restaurant, On the Rocks, located in our expansive desert-style clubhouse. Our casual patio is also available for drinks and dining to take advantage of some of the most breathtaking views in the Coachella Valley.

On the Rocks is continually voted The Best Place to Watch the Sunset in the Palm Springs area!

Golf Courses:
Boulder Course – 6,858 yards, par 71
Pebble Course – 3,164 yards, par 56

The true showpiece at Cimarron is two world-class golf courses. Although The Boulder Course may appear easier on the scorecard, it will equally test the skills, patience and shotmaking skills of the player. On both courses, golf course architect John Fought has fashioned a masterful variety of bunkers with flat tongues and jagged edges, while incorporating sod into the walls of others. All of the bunkers at Cimarron are filled with brilliant white sand, creating a spectacular contrast to the immaculate green fairways, light-brown native wash areas, multi-colored displays of landscaping and the San Jacinto Mountains.
