VillageFest Returns to Palm Springs

After a long year, Thursday nights will be hopping once again in downtown Palm Springs as VillageFest returns on July 1st to kick-off the Fourth of July weekend.

VillageFest has been shut down since the initial California stay-at-home order was issued in March 2020.

Featuring hundreds of colorful merchants and entertainers lining Palm Canyon Drive, VillageFest was the brainchild of the late Mayor Sonny Bono in 1991. It has evolved into one of Palm Springs’ most beloved weekly events.

Summer hours are from 7pm until 10pm. Palm Canyon Drive from Amado Road to Tahquitz Canyon Way will be open to foot traffic only, as well as Museum Way between Palm Canyon Drive and Belardo Road, and Belardo Road between Andreas Road and Tahquitz Canyon.

“We’re really looking forward to being able to have everybody from outside the city and inside the valley get back together out on the streets,” said Darryl Flick, chairman of the Villagefest board.
