Ongoing Palm
Springs Follies - Let the Good Times Roll The
Fabulous Palm Springs Follies is a three-hour, razzle-dazzle,
song and dance vaudeville-style extravaganza showcasing the music
and dance of the '30s, '40s and '50s with one amazing difference?
each of the cast members is from 59 to 84 years "young!"
The Follies has proven, beyond a doubt, Billie Burke's (a.k.a.
Mrs. Florenz Ziegfeld and a star in her own right) famous quote,
"Age doesn't matter unless you're a cheese." Our pledge
is to remain true to the spirit of early Palm Springs while promising
a world-class entertainment experience at every performance! From
2/9 - 3/27: Two-time Grammy award-winner Rita Coolidge makes her
Follies debut. A masterful vocalist, her chart-topping hits include
"(Your Love Has Lifted Me) Higher & Higher," "We're
All Alone" and "All Time High," from the James
Bond film Octopussy. From 3/30 - 5/16: Mary Wilson - Making history
as a founding member of The Supremes whose reputation as the world's
most successful female singing trio led to her present solo fame.
Mary Wilson is now celebrated as a unique recording artist, stage
and film performer, popular lecturer, and best-selling author.
This season she makes her first appearance at the Follies, performing
such Motown classics as "Stop, In The Name of Love"
and "You Can't Hurry Love." More...

Show - Agua Caliente Casino, 32250 Bob Hope Dr., Rancho Mirage,
CA / American musician Darius Rucker first gained fame as the lead
singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish,
of which he has been a member since the band's foundation in 1986.
He began a solo career in country music in 2008. Darius Rucker’s
soulful, rich baritone voice instantly resonates as a comforting
companion in this journey we call life. The success of first single,
the bittersweet “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About
It,” shows that Rucker had country fans at hello. In 2009,
Rucker won the Country Music Association New Artist of the Year
award (formerly known as the Horizon Award), making him the first
African American to do so (since the award was introduced in 1981).
