2018-2019 Season: A New Musical by Roger Bean joins “Broadway’s Best-in-the-West!”

Powerhouse performers are returning to raise the roof of the Annenberg Theater at Palm Springs Art Museum for the 2018-2019 season. An array of Broadway luminaries and celebrated vocalists from seasons’ past are returning by popular demand with new material and new performance pairings.

The Best-in-the-West series includes Tony winner, Christine Ebersole, followed by the dynamic singer-songwriting duo of Amanda McBroom and Ann Hampton Callaway. Grammy nominee Cheyenne Jackson and Phantom of the Opera star Hugh Panaro round out the season.

And be sure not to miss “Honky Tonk Laundry,” a comedic play by Coyote StageWorks. This new musical by Roger Bean Runs February 1 – 10, 2019 at Annenberg Theater at Palm Springs Art Museum. Performances run at 7:30 PM or 2 PM depending on the day. A Q&A session with cast members will follow the Thursday matinee.

About “Honky Tonk Laundry”: 

“Honky Tonk Laundry” is a new musical by Roger Bean, starring Misty Cotton and Bets Malone and tells the hilarious story of Lana Mae Hopkins, owner and proprietress of the Wishy Washy  Washateria, who hires Katie to help out in the laundromat. They soon find themselves up to their elbows in soap, suds, and cheating hearts. These two country angels turn their laundromat into a honky-tonk, and start exacting a touch of revenge against those that did them wrong, all while guaranteeing every customer receives a good, clean time. This production features the music of Carrie Underwood, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Sara Evans, Dixie Chicks, Chely Wright, Dolly Parton, Pam Tillis, Gretchen Wilson, Terri Clark, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, and Patsy Cline.  StageSceneLA describes this play as “…a jukebox musical treat!”
