Have you been to the Annenberg Theater at the Palm Springs Art Museum lately? If not, what are you waiting for? This time of year is perfect to take advantage of all the phenomenal programming here in our own backyard. Here are some of my top picks for upcoming shows:

After intermission you will step into the modern world with “A Long Christmas Dinner,” “Ring-A Ling-A Disco,” Stomp The Halls,” and enjoy a country-western version of “Dreydl, Dreydl”! The chorus is especially pleased to present the choral premiere of “Christmas In Palm Springs” arranged for the chorus by accompanist, Joel Baker. Shows Friday, December 14th at 8pm, Saturday, December 15th at 8pm, and Sunday, December 16th at 3pm. Tickets are $28.50 – $53.50. tickets.psmuseum.org or call 760-322-4800

About the Annenberg Theater:

The Annenberg Theater opened with an inaugural concert in November of 1975 following Leonore Annenberg and Arthur Elrod’s historic interior creation of its orange and persimmon colored seats, carpet and curtain material all complementing the known curves of its wall and ceiling. With nearly perfect acoustics, the intimate 430-seat, state-of- the-art theater is often applauded by the artists who grace our stage, as well as our audiences who enthusiastically return year after year to experience the entertainment only provided by live professional theater.

Uniquely featured within Palm Springs Art Museum, the Annenberg Theater brings audiences a renowned combination of visual and performing arts. Each season presents internationally known performers and concert artists in music, dance, and theater with its popular performance series “Broadways…Best in the West!”, Cabaret 88, collaborations with the Palm Springs International Film Fest, Infinite Palette, Coyote Stageworks and additional programming of lectures, music, community events, and symposiums.
