Classic Club

Classic Club

Classic Club in Palm Desert delivers one of the Coachella Valley’s distinctive championship golf experiences.

The 18-hole, par-72 Arnold Palmer Signature Design opened in 2006 and served as a PGA TOUR host course for the Bob Hope Classic from 2006 through 2008.

Course details, directions & scorecards

Today, the daily-fee course combines generous landing areas, dramatic elevation changes and spectacular mountain views with a layout that can be enjoyed by a wide range of golfers.

Stretching from approximately 4,219 yards to 7,322 yards, Classic Club offers multiple tee options and a dramatically different look from many traditional desert courses. Rolling terrain is accented by mature pine, olive and pepper trees, native landscaping and more than 30 acres of lakes and water features. Fourteen bridges cross the property, while elevated tees provide sweeping views of the surrounding Coachella Valley mountains.

The course was designed to challenge accomplished players without overwhelming recreational golfers. Wide fairways provide room from the tee, while strategically placed bunkers, water hazards, undulating greens and changing elevations reward thoughtful shot selection. The abundance of trees and water gives Classic Club a lush character that contrasts beautifully with the surrounding desert landscape.

Classic Club also features an extensive practice facility with a two-sided driving range, a 12,000-square-foot putting green, two short-game practice areas, chipping greens and practice bunkers. PGA professionals are available for instruction, and premium Callaway rental clubs are available through the Golf Shop.

After golf, players can visit the three-story, 63,000-square-foot Tuscan-inspired clubhouse, home to Bellatrix Restaurant. The clubhouse also includes the Golf Shop, event and banquet facilities, private meeting spaces and outdoor areas overlooking the golf course, lakes and waterfalls.

Classic Club is managed by Troon and has received numerous golf-industry honors for its course design, playing conditions and practice facilities. It is also designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary through Audubon International.
