Lexus Champions for Charity National Championship December 9-11, 1999 La Quinta Resort & Club® and PGA West™ La Quinta (Palm Springs), California Celebrating its 11th year, the Lexus Champions for Charity series pairs great golf with charity as amateur golfers participate in more than 175 tournaments held at the finest golf and country clubs throughout the United States. Lexus supports the local tournaments by making a generous donation to each associated charity, and golfers have the opportunity to win a 1999 Lexus. Lexus also invites a twosome from each local tournament to participate in the annual grand finale, the Lexus Champions for Charity National Championship at La Quinta Resort & Club and PGA West in La Quinta, California. The teams with the top ten net scores and top five gross scores divide a $75,000 purse for their hometown charities. The winning team with the lowest net score claims $15,000 for their local philanthropic organization. Helping to raise approximately $53 million for charity since its inception in 1989, the Lexus Champions for Charity series is undoubtedly the premier amateur golf program in the world. |
