It depends on where you're going. Have you asked the hotel? If you're going to a pool where there's lots of young kids, I'd vote against a thong - put on a bikini instead!

totally agree with u if kids around just wondering what laws were in california .......
and is it legal or not to go topless and such in your own yard providing its fenced

Check specifically with the City of Palm Springs ordinances. Good luck with the no clothing thing! If your neighbors can see you, for heaven's sake, cover it up!! EEK!

Try asking the management for this, some of the hotel and resorts have their own swimwear policy in their establishments.

Why wouldn't they be? Personally if this is what I would wear, I would not go to a pool with lots of kids. : )

If your yard is private, you can wear as little or nothing as you want. Many do here in the desert, especially during the warm weather. We do all the time.
