Try Agua Caliente Casino, 32-250 Bob Hope Dr. in Rancho Mirage. You can reach them at: 760.321.2000. They offer free salsa dance lessons every Wednesday night from 6:30 until 8:30 in the Canyon Lounge.
Have fun!

If you're around August 2 thru 5, there's going to be a Summer Salsa Extravaganza at the Wyndham Resort. There will be workshops, evening Salsa shows as well as open dancing for all until 4am. :D
Thought this might interest you! Call 805-405-2946 for more info.

If ever you learn to dance salsa, it will really help you to get a good shape. If you are bored with the traditional exercises, you don’t have to worry. But also salsa dancing is not far from being boring since it will give you a stronger and healthier body in no time.

By joining a class that runs in a set number of week at a time they are likely to be structured and have a clear focused on where you will be at the end of the set of Salsa lessons. I have found that these types of Salsa lessons are much more effective at teaching the students especially beginners.
There are a lot of Salsa lessons taking place in clubs, these have free dancing afterwards which is invaluable in helping you to fix what you have learn in the lesson in your head.

Salsa dance is known for its expressive sensual dance moves. It requires movements from all parts of the body - foot, hips, hands, neck, shoulders. For salsa, each body-movement is a language that connotes meaning. It is a dance of communication, a body interaction initiated in a medium of music and beat where partners communicate using their body. Each body action has an equivalent response.

Hi, I'm Luis, the Salsa instructor that taught at Agua Caliente as mentioned above. You can stay up to date with the latest in Salsa happenings in the Desert at www.icandance.com. Lori and I are currently teaching at Beyond the Beat in Palm Desert. As usual, it's a nice group of people and we're having a lot of fun. Hope to see you on the dance floor soon.
