It seems New Year’s Eve is either one’s favorite—the sparkly dresses, the planning, the sense of anticipation that anything (or anyone!) might be possible in the new year, or least favorite holiday—”Amateur night,” it’s often called. Either way, I’ve put together a list that’s sure to elevate the evening from naughty to nice (or the other way around, if you like). Whether this is your first New Year’s Eve in Palm Springs, or your sixth, sixteen, or sixtieth, there’s something in Greater Palm Springs for everyone. Here are a few of my favorites.

And, if you happen to snap some sparkly selfies or groupies […]

Email this page

Clearly, that leaves only one place: Palm Springs. I have lived in or spent vast amounts of time in Palm Springs since 1998, but the desert in autumn never fails to thrill my senses. My best friend, Tina, also has had a life long love affair with Palm Springs, so we decided to plan the perfect Palm Springs fall escape.

We decided to try out a new (to us) […]

And so I booked a room at the charming and historic Villa Royale Inn, a Tuscan-style boutique hotel in the south end of Palm Springs—adjacent to the historic Deepwell neighborhood, right across from the ACE Hotel. Then, Murphy in tow (yes, Villa Royale is dog friendly!), hopped in […]
