Set in glamorous Palm Springs, California, famed getaway destination of the icons of Old Hollywood, VintageVibe Festival is a celebration of the evolution of American style and pop culture (considered to be anything pre-1999). The 60,000 square foot indoor (air-conditioned) marketplace will include vendors who not only represent eras gone by, but also new and innovative vendors who nod to the stylings of yesteryear in their products and design. The show will also feature several renowned headliners that have the “VintageVibe” such as Shannon and The Clams, Generationals, Nick Waterhouse, Best Coast, and others each night of the three-day festival.

The Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival continues with 100% female artists as it announces its fifth season of entertainment with 30 artists, including chart topping, Grammy-winning artists and award winning masters of their craft.  The Festival continues to create stories of its own, creating anecdotes that band members and the audience share about the unique weekend featuring women in jazz.

Original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, to Perform at this Summer's Comic Con Palm Springs

Comic Con Palm Springs announces its 2017 lineup! The event will return to the Palm Springs Convention Center August 25-27, 2017 and will feature an array of artists and celebrities, fun programming, colorful costumes, and musical entertainment. Headline celebrities will include Stan Lee, Marvel Comics founder, Rob Lefeild, artist/creator of Deadpool and Cable, and actress Dana Gaier (voice of “Edith” in Despicable Me). The three-day event offers a special VIP dinner with Stan Lee, more than 450 merchandise exhibitors and a special concert performance by Lynda Carter. The inaugural event last year attracted more than 15,000 attendees, and this year it is expected to attract nearly 25,000.

Food Samaritans (AAP) will host a dazzling IndepenDANCE Day party and fundraiser on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the historic O’Donnell House, perched high on the mountainside above the Palm Springs Art Museum, at 412 W. Tahquitz Canyon Way in downtown Palm Springs. The event begins at 7:30 pm, and the City of Palm Springs’ fireworks display will commence at approximately 9:15 pm.

I just learned that one of my faves, celebrity interior designer Christopher Kennedy (pictured at right), is going to donate services for the new Sanctuary Palm Springs House for LGBT youth in foster care.
