1996, Big Wheel Bike Tours has been conceiving and producing first-class
bicycle excursions along the eastern seaboard. We have brought our outstanding
reputation and history of providing high quality, fully supported bicycle
tours to Southern California. Cycling allows you to experience more than
you would from behind the wheel of a car, while at the same time creating
the natural high that outdoor exercise produces. We focus on the leisure
cyclist. We boast the largest fleet of bicycles in the Coachella Valley.

| A pleasant two-mile descent to the Valley floor, then a sightseeing route through Palm Desert and up towards the Living Desert. A 45-minute stopover and date shake with optional hike at the Living Desert before we continue our descent with stops at the Vintage and El Dorado Country Clubs featuring several celebrity homes. | La Quinta Loop | Reservations |
| The riding starts with a gentle climb to the La Quinta cove via a paved bike path. After taking in the views and enjoying a snack, riders head along the Coachella Valley aqueduct where they'll have a chance to do some entry-level off-road riding. Riders will have a chance to ride through PGA West with its world-renowned golf courses and enjoy a second snack & refreshment stop, turnaround point and restroom break. | This route, from the Westin Mission Hills following the Coachella Valley Bikeway to Palms Springs, takes riders through several golf courses and up a small climb into one of Palm Springs' most exclusive neighborhoods. There enjoy amagnificent view of Palm Springs and Mt. San Jacinto followed by a fun descent back to the valley floor. We'll stop at one of Palm Springs municipal parks for a snack and refreshments before returning to Mission Hills. | Group size: 10 - 60 riders Tour length: 3 hours Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate Price: $39 per person |
| Joshua Tree Extravaganza | Reservations |
| We'll start at Keys View, which provides a scenic overlook where, on a clear day, riders will be able to see all the way to Mexico. From there it's a mostly downhill ride to Jumbo Rocks, where the beautiful rock formations provide a chance for riders to do some light hiking and then enjoy a lunch and snacks. Then it's more downhill riding on the way to our finish at Ocotillo Patch. | The Great Palm Springs Ramble & BBQ | Reservations |
| This route takes us through some of Palm Springs' beautiful neighborhoods. From there we head towards the Indian Canyons on S. Palm Canyon. After a brief detour and short climb up Andreas Hill Dr. to visit one of Palm Springs' more exclusive neighborhoods and enjoy the vistas, we enter the Canyons and go up to our BBQ destination. | For the more adventurous cyclist, Big Wheel Bike Tours has several off-road tours to choose from. From the serious cyclist in town on business who wants to put in a 50-mile training ride, to the family on a sightseeing vacation, to weekend enthusiasts who seek a serious off-road ride, Big Wheel Bike Tours will arrange a tour for you. | Minimum group size is 6 people. | Group tours
must be reserved at least seven days in advance. Groups will be charged
according to the final count given three days prior to the tour. A 50%
deposit is required on all group tours and is due one week prior to
the tour date. The remainder is to be paid to Big Wheel Bike Tours within 14 days after the tour. |
